The Nitty-Gritty
Here’s what makes it tick. We built this lamp to be a workhorse for modern industrial lines. It runs on 400V, which is a big deal. It means the lamp fires up reliably every time and holds a steady arc, even when it’s running day in, day out. And that higher voltage does another smart thing: it keeps the current draw low. So you can run long strings of these lamps without worrying about overloading your control panels. We keep the length around 300mm. It’s a practical size, fitting right into the standard spots on your line. It’s a straight swap, so you don’t have to re-engineer your whole machine just to get this upgrade.
What’s Inside
Let’s crack it open. The heart of the lamp is a quartz envelope, packed with a halogen fill. Then, we hit it with a special coating that shapes the light spectrum. It’s all about focusing the UV where you need it for a lightning-fast cure, while keeping the infrared heat in check. That keeps the heat off sensitive materials. The halogen cycle also keeps the filament stable, so the output stays rock-solid, shift after shift. And for hooking it up? We use R7s connectors. On the shop floor, that’s a huge win. They lock in place quickly without needing tools, and they keep the arc perfectly lined up with the reflector.
On the Line
So what does this all feel like when it’s running? You get a serious amount of heat density and a cure time you can count on. That means you can push more product through. The 300mm length and the R7s connection make it a simple drop-in. Changeovers are quick, which is a relief when you’re trying to keep things moving. But here’s the thing to keep in mind. This power comes with a price. The 400V, 2500W output is serious. You’ve got to make sure your cooling system is up to the task. If you push it hard, the temperature around the lamp climbs fast. Without enough airflow, you’re risking overheating components and cutting the lamp’s life short. So, make sure your setup can handle the heat.
